Beginners' Questions Inkscape seems more optimised for Linux?

Hi There, I'm running Inkscape on Ubuntu 20.04 and find I can very smoothly scroll around my artwork using two fingers on my Lenovo X1 Carbon. The scrolling is so smooth, I can move the artwork around in a circular motion at lightning speed. Pinch to zoom also works a treat with great responsiveness. Conversely, on my Gallaxy Book running Inkscape on Windows 10, the two-finger scrolling is horrible. It will either move up and down or side to side but not in a circular motion. Pinch to zoom is also notably less optimised. On the Galaxy Book, I tried the same vector graphic on software optimised for Windows. I was able to simulate similar responsiveness found with Inkscape on Linux. So it seems to definitely be something to do with Inkscape on Windows.

Ok, so am I going mad or Inkscape seems happier, more at home, running on Linux? Is there some kind of GPU acceleration setting I can change for the Windows edition?

Look forward to any feedback :)

    Inkscape is optimal on Linux.

I'm not mad, whew!  Thanks for your response, Tyler. I do love that Linux has the edge when apps are optimised for it. Also, I note Inkscape's UI looks infinitely better on Ubuntu with much better OS theme integration. Have been a Linux user now since 2012.

I try to avoid using Inkscape on Windows 10. It crashes around every five minutes, often during drag-n-drop. As a temporary workaround I use Ubuntu and remote sync with my Windows laptop.
