I saved customized template and set to load by default.

But, this is no effect by loading svg or import pdf files.

I want to set page color white by ALL data which do not contain

    page color setting.

    1. Open Inkscape app.

    2. Open some pdf files by File -> Open

    3. Then, preview window shows page color white.

    4. But, when opened, the pdf file show with gray background.

    5. Off course, by shift + ctrl + D, I can change page color white, BUT ALWAYS MUST DO THIS PROCESS.

    6. Why? and please tell me how to configure page color white.

    Win11 Pro 64bit, Inkscape 1.3.2, 14beta both.

Could you please show the solution?

    I'd try:

    1. Open Inkscape
    2. File>Import> yourpdf.pdf

    I tried the import function.

However, Blank white page is added at first page always.

For example, when import 5 page pdf file,

white blank page and 5 pages are displayed.

    Is this on spec?

Yes, the initial page can be deleted using theΒ pages tool.

Yes, but the plan Mr. Tyler suggested is not correctly the solution I want.

I want to open pdfs with white page color WITHOUT ANY ADDITIVE OPERATION.

Can Inkscape on now not do that operation?

The page can be any color prior to import.

Set the default template to the preferred color.

Mr. Tyler's answer indicates my opening post.

    Any other solutions?

If you want white pages, set the default document page to white.

Sorry sir, I set my default page to white.

I said first post of this thread, right?

And I understand import method completely. I know that, I know that.....

But this method needs EXTRA operation, on page tool delete first blank page.

Previously said, are there any solution WITHOUT EXTRA OPERATION?

File -> Open somepdf.pdf ---> shows pdf file with white background

    It nees no extra operation.

File -> Import somepdf.pdf ---shows pdf file and no extra page is exist.

I want these operation above. No stress, no extra operation.

For example, some preparation need to modify some settings of xml file...

I don't mind any preparation above.

Why not simply open PDFs with Inkscape instead of loading into empty file?

In Inkscape welcome dialog in the quick setup tab. Select default colors for the canvas.

If you disabled the Welcome dialog at some point this can be enabled in preferences.
