Inkscape 1.2.2 is now available for download on Linux, Windows, and macOS.

This is a maintenance and bug fix release that includes 4 crash fixes,

over 25 application bug fixes, 5 extension bug fixes and 13 improved user interface translations.

Here are a few notable improvements:

• OpenClipart import is now available to all operating systems and builds.

• macOS users now have spell-checking, and undo/redo options are back in the menu.

• Pattern colors can be modified by extensions again.

• The measuring tool and DXF14 export have been improved for the maker community.

Any chance that you update also the version published in the Microsoft Store? The last version there is still 1.2 (dc2aedaf03, 2022-05-15)...

Also, the installers are currently being updated because of a severe crash issue. We'll let you know when those updated Windows versions will be available.

Update for Windows users:

If you installed the new Inkscape 1.2.2 before December 9, 2022

and experience sudden crashes, please uninstall it and re-download.

We have fixed the packaging issue that was causing this and have updated the download files.

The correct & updated download files contain the text '2022-12-09_732a01da63' in their file names.

@mlocati No idea, I'm not a Windows user and have not asked the responsible person for any updates. I'll hop on the chat and ask them, will share a link in a minute.

I filed a bug report ("feedback") for the microsoft application generator, and am waiting for them. If they don't answer before january I'll try some of the krita generation scripts
