    So far I've used inkscape to draw/adjust woodworking plans and for any general graphics stuff I need to do.

    I'm also going to be using it for my new hobby of bookbinding. I'll be creating page layout templates for a fantasy world atlas I'll be drawing (possibly by hand, perhaps in Inkscape). I'll also be using it to tidy up diagrams etc from books downloaded from Project Guttenberg prior to printing and binding them.

    Nice! If you have a graphics tablet you can trace the map in Krita or Gimp... and apply the texts in Inkscape.

    I once copied and colorized a map of the Thurian continent in Gimp and applied the texts in Inkscape. You can see the original map, near the bottom of this page.
