Hello, English is not my first language, so I apologize for any mistakes. My dad's anniversary is coming up soon, and he is the person who introduced me to watching anime. For his birthday, I wanted to create a hobby-related gift with some anime symbols. However, I'm not sure how to convert an image into an embroidery file.

The machine I have is a Bernina b780 and Bernina 435. the file that they can read is art or .exp.

    Thank you for your help

Usually you'd try to start out with very simple images. Digitizing for embroidery has a bit of a learning curve, but once you've got to know the basics, it is a lot of fun.

Depending on how you learn best, you can have a look at the inkstitch website or various youtube channels.

You should definitely have a look at the various stitch types (don't try to make everything a fill).

Also learn about how  to compensate for push and pull effects that naturally happen during the stitch out (enlarge or shrink your shapes accordingly).

Good day to you. I am using inkscape 1.3 and ink stitch 3.0.1. my problem is after I do a clip on a picture and do a trace to bitmap the update preview shows the entire picture and not just the part I want to keep.

That would not be an Ink/Stitch but an Inkscape issue. If it is not already in the list, you can report your issue here: https://inkscape.org/report/

Clipping in Inkscape is not cropping. The original image is masked so as to appear clipped.

After you set the clip. export the image as a png, then import the png and trace bitmap.
