Beginners' Questions Resizing Objects Dilemma

Hi everyone, I'm hoping someone can help.

I have created a button image that I would like to resize for various different applications, the issue I have is that I would like to resize either the height or width whilst keeping the same ratio/distances of the other objects to keep the same bevel effect.

In the example attached Button A is 85 x 25 pixels, I would like to find a way to change just the height to create a button 85 x 50 pixels without it deforming like Button B I would like it to look like Button C.

Is there a way to achieve this without having to manipulate each object?

I've tried various methods of scaling using the transform function grouped, ungrouped applied to each object separately etc. but I cannot find a way to do it. Essentially I would like to select the whole button and adjust just the height and the rest of the image will adjust automatically.

I‘d try the Node tool given all objects are shapes already. Text can be snapped to center then:

How was the bevel originally made ?

Is it a bitmap image, a filter or drawn with vector lines and filled ?

@Polygon, that's probably the easiest way thank you. I was hoping there might be a way to just enter a height value and everything would auto adjust, I take it there is no way to lock the nodes of different objects together, so as one object is resized the other would be as well?

@inklinea each part of the button is an object, please see attached image.
