In photoshop, we can slice one image into fixed sizes and save for web, so that this sliced parts can be saved into individual file with autogenerated names.

If you find a way, please share. I am doing this by saving as svg and loading into Illustrator (paid $$$) and saving artboards. This is because I have a tool which creates assets in Inkscape (single page) that i want to slice
I think Artboards are one big advantage of Illustrator over Inkscape, but Inkscape is free...
