I have an object that I made, I drew it but I don't remember if I drew it in Inkscape or if I drew it in another program and then converted it to an SVG. For some reason, the edges of the object are a little ways out from the actual edges of the drawing, which means if I tell Inkscape to Resize Page to Fit, there's empty space around the image. I do not want this empty space, I have no idea why it's there, and I haven't been able to find any helpful answers on this forum or by googling. Please help!

From the screenshot it don‘t look like an SVG but a bitmap. Check out by selecting and having a look at the Status Bar at the bottom of the Inkscape window or open Layers and Objects panel for what you have in your file,
@TylerDurden I looked at clipping, and it doesn't do what I need. I need the extra space to just not exist, but based on various questions and answers on here regarding clipping, clipping just hides stuff, it doesn't actually make it not exist.
Where does it says it´s a SVG? The file extension? SVG is just a container file format like PDF. Select your object and check Status Bar at the bottom of theInkscape window and report back.

Cropping can be achieved by using a rectangle in front of the object, selecting both then using Object>Clip>set.

It's common for SVG files to contain bitmap and vector objects.
If you need to remove actual bitmap data (true crop) from the file there is a crop bitmap extension.
