Hello my friends. I have a problem, during 2020 I made some drawings from bitmap to Inkscape. Yesterday I tried to modify these files and it will not respond to any application such as moving to another file, increasing or reducing size, adding lines, numbers etc. In other words it is fully fixed. I don't want to lose these files. What do you recommend me to do? I'm using inkscape 1.1. I am attaching the file.

    I appreciate your help.

The file opened ok for me in 1.3 (Linux). But, the embedded image file data looks bad.

Please try this modified file, or update to 1.3 and try.

Thank you very, very much. It opened perfectly and I can move and modified the SVG images,. Do you happen to know what happened? If a file on Inkscape is kept untouched for a lot o

    f timje, it freezes?

Perhaps you can help me with another issue that has bothered me a lot: When I have a file on bitmaps and I open on Inkscape, it appears at least twice as large. I have to spend some time reducing it to the correct size. Most annoying. Any solutions?

I can't say what caused the issue. I used a text editor to clean up the embedded image data. I  highly recommend version 1.3, it is very stable and has very nice new features.

There are import settings for images in the preferences, I try modifying the import dpi values.

Thank you. I always try to transfer using 150dpi and grayscale. Should I use other? Higher or lower resolution etc.

Looking at the example file, it looks like the original image is 1.56 times the size you work at. You could scale the dpi down on import by that value, or just apply that factor to the object in the commands bar...  Inkscape's numeric entry boxes allow simple expressions, e.g. 7836/1.5625. So, if you find the scale difference is constant, you can easily append the function to the image size.

I just did a quick test. The original Photoshop JPG extracted from the example file in Inkscape opens at the correct size in Inkscape 1.1.1 not in Inkscape 1.3. Resaving the same JPG using other apps makes it work also for Inkscape 1.3.

Thank you, I use Inkscape 1.1. And the curious issue is that the size increase when transfering to Inkscape happens sometimes, not with every file. This makes things much more difficult., Any suggestions?

I suggest you make a bug report.
