It's probably trivial and natural for an advanced user, but I hardly used the concept of snapping before (because I mainly do programming and work very little with computer graphics).

Setting a clip to an object works well for me.
However, I realized that objects for not only snap to their grid, but also to their original outline when being moved around.
Is there a way to avoid snapping to the original outline? It would be okay for me if this would mean that I could not restore the original object.
