Like the title says, editing any Gradient in version 1.4RC is terribly and painfully slow. It did not used to be prohibitive in version 1.2.2. It was actually pretty good in version 1.2.2. Now it is just unusable.
Inkscape 1.4-dev (07fdc56, 2024-03-10, custom)
Compile (Run) GLib version: 2.78.1 GTK version: 3.24.39 (3.24.39) glibmm version: 2.66.6 gtkmm version: 3.24.8 libxml2 version: 2.11.5 libxslt version: 1.1.38 Cairo version: 1.18.0 (1.18.0) Pango version: 1.50.14 (1.50.14) HarfBuzz version: 8.2.2 (8.2.2)
OS version: Windows 7 SP17Vista SP2Vista SP1VistaXP SP3XP SP2XP SP1XPThank you.
Gradients seem to have been VERY smooth and responsive in versions 1.3 as well (at least for me).
Something significant appears to have changed in 1.4. Unfortunately for the worse (at least for me).Thank you.
