    These are simple tricks to make your work less taxing on your computer.

    1. It's common to import images (jpegs, etc) and then downsize them for a given size but this doesn't change it's real resolution. This will not only make large file sizes, but also is pretty taxing on your CPU. To solve this issue simple select the image and then do to Edit > Make a Bitmap Copy

    This will generate a new version of the same image but with the resolution defined by it's current size. You can now delete the original image (which is BEHIND).

    2. Using the same command you can convert complex vectors in bitmap. But first make sure to export the current vector as a svg file for backup.

    3. Some bitmaps and fonts can get really complex vectors after being converted to paths. To fix that, select Path > Simplify and repeat as many times as necessary.
