I put numbers on Pages Tool Pages like from Left To Right Then Next Line Then Left To Right …

It orders the pages just random. There is no logic. and one page has no number on it at all?!

How can I order them consecutively while saving as PDF automatically? and whats that a page without number? (all of my pages has numbers on it)

The page tool numbers the pages when you create them. It doesn't guess what order you'd like to have.

But, you can modify the page order.

In the attached screenshot, you can see I'm using page tool, the first page is selected, on control bar, it's displayed that it is page 1/3.

But, I did  select the page with the "2" text, and moved the page order on control bar (I clicked on the icon with the green arrow to the right).

Visually, the page with "2" text is the second, but now inkscape considers it is the third one, and export will follow this order.

Can I understand the creation order of the pages with page tool.

So I can order them like you do in the way they are ordered in PDF export file.

• If you create a fourth page in a document, inkscape numbers it n°4/4.
• If you now add a fifth page, this fifth page will be numbered n°5/5 and the fourth page n°4/5.
• If you move page n°4/5 on the canvas to put it visually between page 3/5 and 2/5, it remains page n°4/5 for inkscape.
• If you now delete page n°2/5, page n°4/5 becomes n°3/4 and page n°5/5 becomes n°4/4.

To reorder pages, use the icons with a page and a green arrow.
