This may not be the issue, but I managed to do something similar in Kubuntu recently and it wasn't an Inkscape issue, but an operating system problem (there were a couple of programs affected in my case). Obviously KDE will have different settings from XFCE but could you have possibly changed a window decoration/window manager setting? I'm not very familiar with XFCE's settings, but could you have changed something in there?
I can't remember exactly what I did, to be honest. It was something in system settings. My solution probably wouldn't help you though, as XFCE's settings will be different from KDE, but certainly take a look around any window manager/display settings and hopefully you can figure it out there.
Dear all,
I use Inkscape on Xubuntu (Jammy). Since some days, I lost the Inkscape menu at the top of Inkscape window so that I just have icons shortcuts.
I search on Internet but didn't found any solution. Does aybody have any idea of what going on ?
Regards

Dear Z3Z,
yes, I changed decoration of my XFCE. I'll try to look in that way. What did you do on your side to make coming back ?

Thanks z3z for your remarks ;)
