Inkscape crashes.
I've tried several times. I've restarted the PC and the problem repeats itself.
The problem occurs when after changing one of the Spacing (x or y) to 0.1 I try to change the other to the same value (0.1).
At this point Inkscape crashes and does not return to work, needing to be restarted.
Is this a bug or does it only happen with my installation?
I suspect the default grid settings after a preference reset is the issue. If you don't set those default grid settings after a preference reset, it will cause the lockup.
I think I came across this when I installed 1.4 and reset preferences. I was having problems with the new modular grids.
I noticed that as well about mm working and cm not working. I got frustrated with the file and just copied everything over to a new document. Even that doesn't make sense as to why it solved the problem.
Something is definitely wrong here. I know there were several issues with grids in the 1.4 betas. Has this been reported?

Using Inkscape 1.4, Windows 10.

I'd try remove and create a new grid.

Aero - That file did a lockup on me as well. Windows 11 v1.4
Reloaded the file - removed the grid - attempted to create a new one - lock up again.
I use grids with almost all my designs and never saw this type of lockup before.
Created new document - copied everything to it. Grid working correctly now. Orginal file must have an XML issue?

The only way I could do this is to copy everything to a new file then set up a new grid.
Changing the cm grid using the XML-editor works fine.
In document properties, grid units in mm works fine, cm do not.
