Embroidery and InkStitch letter 'O' not filling in logo

I really appreciate all the great work put into InkStitch and the support here in the forum. I feel like the excellent results I'm getting with my simple Brother SE-400  would not be possible without InkStitch and this community.

I am running into a perplexing problem right now. I've got this logo I'm trying to make into a patch and the green letter 'O's are not filling - they're getting outlined in green only. Please see attached pictures. Any ideas to force the fill there?

Make sure the path direction is consistent over all glyphs:

Thanks Polygon. If an svg file was provided it may have helped?

    We´re in the:

    Embroidery and InkStitch -Forum.

My SVG above is from WIKIpedia. (It´s a lousy one unfortunately)

Yup... beyond my creative experiences.... I just opened a "Recent Topics" thread - did not see which "sub-thread" it was under and the sub-thread is not displayed.

    Glad was sorted.

Huh. @Polygon, I wasn't aware of there being a 'path direction.' I have 30-plus years of semi-sophisticated computer software (CAD, Desktop Publishing, Photo / Video editing, Music Production) usage under my belt, and I am constantly impressed with the level of detail put into InkStitch (and InkScape).

Yes, I first tried to use that SVG from wikimedia and found it wasn't very good. InkStitch output a file that had a ton of jump stitches because the thing was basically a raster from bottom to top. I created mine using a high resolution JPG that I ran through a piece of MacOS software called "Vectorizer" that I've usually had good luck in generating quality SVG files.

The pointer you've given me is a good direction for me to pursue. I didn't know about these path directions. I'll dig into that and report back my route to success or any additional challenges I find. Thank you!

You can try my uploaded SVG I cleaned up from the WIKI one which is SVG but made from many objects to whatever reason.

Inkscape can do autotrace BTW under Path->Trace Bitmap…

Thanks, @Polygon. I'll give that a try, too, and post back results. Heading out for the weekend, might not circle back until Monday on this.

    Much appreciated,

When Ink/Stitch isn't able to fill a shape it will just render the outline. It is not directly obvious from the image what exactly is causing the issue. It could help to use Ink/Stitch > Tools: Fill > Break apart fill objects. But not necessarily. Sometimes it would also help to change stitch angle. Or depending on size a redraw as a satin stitch could also be nice.

Also make sure that your shapes overlap a little bit to avoid registration issues when stitching this out.
