I'm running Inkscape 1.2.1 on an M1 Pro Macbook Pro running Ventura 13.0.1. When I attempt to choose additional dialog boxes to open from pop up menu in the dock area, I can not select any of the options except when I follow a very specific set of steps. I have to go to the Fill and Stroke dialog, then I have to hover over "Move Tab to New Window" for a second, and then when I move my cursor, I can see the different dialog options highlight as I hover over them.
I have attached a screencast video to demonstrate. I start by choosing the "Layers and Objects" tab and then click on the icon to bring up the menu. Notice that as I hover, nothing will highlight and I can not select any of the dialog boxes to add to the dock. I then switch over to the "Fill and Stroke" tab and I'm still unable to select any additional options until I hover over the "Move Tab to New Window" text, and then you can see that menu option's tool tip appear and then when I move my cursor, I am suddenly able to select other tools. Finally, I choose the Text dialog, and again have the same problem where I can not select any other tools.
Thank you Ryan! 🙏 I think Inkscape 1.2 and Ventura have issues using mouse. It's impossible to me to choose a font -to say- from the dropdown menu, using the mouse -I've to use arrow keys. The same for other features.
It's a problem between Ventura and GTK current release. In this case, I'm afraid GTK guys should find a solution, not being very confident in Apple. And they succeeded in some case (Siril, thanks to René de Hasselle).
I don't think it is related to mouse, since I can run export command (inkscape --export-filename=out.pdf in.svg) from the command line, and it barfs. No mouse at all. (Yes, I had a real live in.svg). But I have lots of issues, and I am seeing a lot go Glib errors in std out, and in the crash logs.

Ventura is known to have UI issues across applications. This may require an update from Apple.
