Very similar to this was opened by @dan-yell and closed back in 2022-11-07, but I am having essentially the same issue on Linux (U 20.04 fwiw) in version 1.3.2. To quote part of his report:
"In the layer list the layers' symbols for visibility and lockedness should now be visible exclusively when hovering the mouse cursor over the Layer entry. And I really miss the overview on all of my layers' statuses at a glance. Any chance that this might come back? Or have I missed out a configuration option or is there a workaround?
For snicks I tried a fresh install of 1.3.2 on Windows, and it is worse as the 'lock' icon also disappears along with the 'Opacity' and 'visibility' icons.
As a side note: I am happy there is a tool tip for 'Opacity', but for consistency I would have also expected them for 'visibility' and 'lock', though those are much more self-evident.
