Hello, I am having a similar situation. I've been using Inkscape a couple of weeks and have used other programs too. However I need to convert an EPS to an SVG. My brother told me there is a program called Inkscape SVG Editor. I have spent hours and hours trying to find that program or part of Inkscape. I really need to do that for a project I am working on. Please someone help....thank you!!!

Open the eps file in Inkscape (File>Open>EPS...) then you should be able to save as either Inkscape SVG or plain SVG.
