Beginners' Questions How to remove excess object

    Hi Everyone, I'm new to Inkscape and was stuck on something.

    I was trying to convert the above objects into this but dont know how

    I tried to do what have been done in this video but not going as expected (Video Link:https://youtu.be/zSVT9jJYo7s?list=PLqazFFzUAPc5lOQwDoZ4Dw2YSXtO7lWNv&t=77) and ended up like this

    What I would do is duplicate the green circle, remove the fill, turn on the stroke.

    Select a vertical line, then the stroke of the circle, cut path, same thing other side of the arc.

    Select the arc you now have and then a line to once again cut path (CTRL+ALT+/) through the vertical lines. Then you got it.
