When I want to fill a shape with a gradient and click on the arrow next to the hamburger icon, it only offers me the gradient with the 2 colors chosen below.
https://goopics.net/i/8mcdep In my portable version1.2, there doesn't seem to be a folder "gradients" as in Gimp
Is it possible to use the gradients (ggr) of the Gimp and if so, then I will have to create a folder "Gradients" in my user profile?
In older versions of Inkscape (and I think also 1.2) it is possible to import gradients from Gimp. I had made a tutorial in 2014, it is in Brazilian Portuguese, but you can translate via Google: https://www.hardware.com.br/comunidade/degrades-dica/1350645/
I have some old Gimp resources (including gradients) you can download here
Guerreiro64 I forgot to ask you how you use your gradients (ggr) with Inkscape.? I have a lot of gradients for the Gimp, especially Mandelbulber Gradients and if you are interested in them, I can share them here.
• french_80: Thank you, but it would be ideal if you share your gradients on the Gimp forums, as I don't use the program a lot these days: I've been dedicating myself more to Inkscape and Krita.
I also don't adapt to the heat (and to top it off, I was born in a tropical country). in June and July, the weather is cooler. :)
• Tyler Durden: Thanks! These gradients I created at the time of the extinct Brazilian Gimp Forum and, from time to time, I experiment with them. They can be installed in Krita, including...
I just looked at the "resources" folder starting with your patterns and they are all superb! The palette is similar to several "crayolas" and "color pencils" that are on my PC, but perhaps more complete. Gimpressionist, I never use it because it's not easy to set up. I just installed the curves and will do some tests tomorrow. That's all I could look at today.🙂 Thank you again a thousand times, Guerreiro64.
Glad you liked it! :) The GIMPressionist Filter is not difficult to use. I have an old tutorial where it is used, but the tutorial consists of jpg images and they are not in English... if you want to see it, this is the link. It's at the beginning of page two of the tutorial
Thanks Guerreiro64, I put the link in my bookmarks. I don't plan to use Gimpressionist soon because at the moment I only explore Inkscape and possibly Gimp to test some tests obtained with inkscape. I spend a lot of time learning the basics but like a lot of software, the beginnings are difficult but then comes the fun.😉

There are no preset gradients in Inkscape, but you can create/duplicate/modify gradients.
There is no gradients directory, AFAIK; so best workaround is paste objects with gradients into a document and save for later use as a library.
A pity.😞
Thanks Tyler Durden.

I'll check out your tutorial and I'll also look at your resources for Gimp.

I rushed to answer you before opening your link:
the heat wave does not suit me! 41° outside and 28° inside at this hour..
@Guerreiro64, Excellent work. 👍
