svg transforms will distort patterns, bitmap or vector, so it's possible to generate isometric perspectives. Envelope and perspective distortions only distort vector objects and don't work with patterns.
I just discovered an extension for this but I can't get it to work on my mac. You might have better luck in Linux or Windows. Let us know what you find.
Nube question - Evaluating Inkscape for a specific use. (v Affinity Designer and v Vectorstyler)
Inkscape allows vector and bitmap pattern fills. One can also modify an object shape/outline.
Is there the ability to have the fill distort with changes in the object outline?
Out of the box, I don't think so. There may be an extension out there, but it may take a hunt.
One might work in Inkscape with linked bitmaps while editing in Gimp, but actions in Inkscape would not automagically drive the changes in Gimp.
I did find that VectorStyler was supposed to have this feature, but I have found it to be quite buggy.
Many Thanks!
Dennis
