The --print option doesn't really do anything else than to pipe the output in (I think) ps format to the printer - I doubt that is something that works on Windows (the piping part). It also has been dropped in Inkscape 1.0.
Personally I'm actually not aware of a way to directly print from command line from Inkscape.

I have Problems with command-line printing.
I have Windows 7 64 and use the following command:
C:\programme\inkscape\inkscape.exe --print='Brother HL-2130 series' d:\test.pdf
The printer is an USB type. Can anybody tell me whats wrong on my syntax
