no it's impossible to downgrade : question of security and upgrade policy with Apple : upgrades keep system safe ;-)
Anyway slowliness of inkscape is not a problem of Catalina : it's the only one application that is so slow, all other work good. So the problem comes from inkscape. Pehaps some compiler option (trace or debugger activated or whatever ?). Same for DXF export: there must be somethine changed in export module...
Hi everybody,
i'm having some troubles with the new version after Catalina update on MAC. I installed last version (beta release) and these are the problems :
Fortunatly, my old Macbookpro 17 is too old to upgrade to Catalina, but it's not a solution... 😅
Can someone help ?
Many thanks
Hi arkhamon, thank you for your message.
I have been hearing multiple complaints about this new version of the macOS operating system. Is it possible to downgrade to the previous version?
What is the version of the inkscape app you are using again?

Try the latest development version, that's known to be faster: https://inkscape.org/release/master/
As for documents access, that's https://gitlab.com/inkscape/inkscape/issues/459
For the DXF export, please report the issue here: https://gitlab.com/inkscape/extensions/issues
